Read this from somewhere, cant remembers exactly; it’s been so long. Anyway just want to share it out. It’s a simple story. It’s without much intricate details or any elaborate description. Its best kept simple. It really is…

This is the storey about him and her.
He met her during the first 3 months JC orientation. She also only met him then. He was no Casanova and she was no prom queen. Simple people leading simple live. He liked her at first sight. She was fond of him. However being introverted, both didn’t take much action on their part. 3 months flew by faster than ever. Time was relatively cruel to them. Of course, that’s what the author felt…

He decided to leave that school. She chose another path to walk. Both knew of each other’s decision but it was though the mouth of others. Devoid of courage to make the first move, they were very much laid-back, passive and reticent…

He was from guitar club and she was from dance. There were many chances for them to interact because of some collage functions that involved the performing societies but never did they cherish those opportunities.

Then there was the final performance for all those students who had finished the 3 months orientation. It was a night for all of the students, those that stayed on and those that not. He was asked to perform a solo and was rather eager. He wanted to invite her to night but there was no special excuse for him to use, as all must be present. So he merely approaches her group of friends (together with his own groupies) to ask them to come in a friendly non-unique manner. Being scared of rejection, he tried to overhear her reply to that invitation. She rejected it saying that teary and emotional good-byes were not her thing. He was hurt but could do nothing. He was a nobody to her. She didn’t realised that he was being very indirect in inviting her to the night.

The night arrived and he was on stage. Teeming and crowded, he felt lonely. He felt cold. He continued to perform, perform a song that was meant to touch her. He started to sing but was getting quite irritated for no logical reason. She didn’t want to come but for no logical reason she arrived just at the opening of his song. They meet once again but only for a split second. She saw her friends and bid them farewell. She saw him on stage. He saw her in the first row. She left before he ended the song. He wanted to give chase but for what…

The performance ended. Everyone was sentimental. Tears were flowing and good-byes were said. He tried to search for her but to no avail. He was ambivalent. She was too.

He walked out of school. She walked out of the bus. He met her. She met him…

A walk to remember…
